An Update on Da Vinci RISE
As of July 1, 2026, Da Vinci RISE is no longer operating as an independent charter school. While the current RISE charter has closed, Da Vinci Schools remains deeply committed to the students, families, and educators who made RISE so impactful.
Our goal is to ensure every RISE student has a clear path forward, access to familiar, caring adults, and a school community that believes in their future. Current students are transitioning into other Da Vinci programs with personalized support, alongside many of the RISE educators, counselors, and staff who continue to be part of their journey. While most students are expected to continue within Da Vinci programs, we recognize that a smaller number of youth may be best served by comparable schools or programs in their region. In those cases, we are committed to working closely with students and families to ensure every young person has access to a strong, appropriate, and supportive schooling option.
Looking ahead, we will convene RISE Think Tank sessions that include staff, students, families, community partners, and supporters to refine the RISE model and explore how we can continue serving the young people who benefit most from the RISE approach.
If you have any questions about this transition, please contact Erin Whalen, Assistant Superintendent of Student Services, at ewhalen@davincischools.org.
